PALACE boss Neil Warnock will have his attacking options boosted after the international break following the news that Calvin Andrew has been given the all clear for competitive action.

Andrew has been out since May after suffering a nasty Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury in his right knee while on loan at Brighton at the end of last season.

Warnock's right hand man Mick Jones said he was delighted to have Andrew back in the fold.

"We have just received the all clear from Calvin's surgeon for him to start playing again," he said. "It really has been a remarkable come back because he is way ahead of schedule.

"The surgeon has done a magnificent job on it, but Calvin has worked so hard during his rehabilitation. I am absolutely delighted for him. The injury was potentially career threatening but I have never seen a player work as hard as him.

"Hopefully by the time the international break is over we will have another player to choose from."

    “L0uis, Henfield Village,
You can win & Lose a Game in the 1st minute of a Match & upto the 90th minute, 98th at old trafford.Your Theory of you can lose a Game in the Ist half but not win it is Total Garbage, your saying Spurs Lost the game in the 1st half for Bad Defending, well i`m saying Arsenal Won the Game in the 1st Half For defending well & Scoring 2 Goals, Hence Winning the Game, Therefore L0uis, In Fact Arsenal won the game in the 1st Half!!
As For Strikers with `Presence` i`d Rather have a Centre Forward who can put the Ball in the Back of the Net, Sears will come Good, Lee & John our `Presence`Strikers i`m not So sure About.”

“Lee,my theory about only losing a game in the first half and not winning is CORRECT because if you don't defend properly you've lost the game as Tottenham did against Arsenal. And strikers can be out of the game for 85 minutes then score winning goal in 89 minute and I keep telling you that you NEED someone with presence like Lee/John up front.”

    “L0uis, Henfield Village,
Alan Lee had 90 Mins Against Boro, having a better game, but apart from a header that went wide & being Involved in the Goal, didn`t have a Great Impact on the game, The same can be said of John at Qpr, missed a Sitter, Little Impact on the game, i didn`t go but got a Good report by someone who did, L0uis, i thought your Philosophy on our great Game, Apart from the Old L0uis, Classic You Cannot Win A Game In The 1st Half, but you can lose it theory, i thought you said more games were won the Second half, especially with substitutes coming on & Scoring? Therefore L0uis, why would you Play Lee or John for 90 Mins if they are not having Much Impact on Games?
L0uis, Henfield Village, why do reckon we have to play Either John or Lee Upfront with Sears? Do you not Think Sears cannot play upfront on his own with Ambrose & Moses Supporting Him? L0uis, a player with Sears pace & Skill can & Should play up Alone, because with either Lee Or John upfront, we play too much route 1, Long Ball Shit.”

“Christian,I agree with you as I said
Andrew needs to get match fit first and then he'll have a chance of some games. And I also think either Alan Lee or Stern John needs a regular 90 minutes on pitch instead of keep substituting them.”

“You´re absolutely right, Pete W - enough off topic stuff.
I for one think it´s going to be very, very hard for Andrew to get the match practice he needs now as Stern John is just growing into the team, Sears is back on track and even Alan Lee seems to play pretty okay (as far as I can say from the distance, of course).
Another short loan spell should help Andrew, I guess?!”

“You´re absolutely right, Pete - enough off topic stuff now.
I for one can´t see Andrew getting a place in the squad in over the next weeks as Stern John is just getting fit, Freddy Sears is back on track and even Alan Lee seems to do okay now.
He must get some games and that´s going to be very hard at Palace, I think. Another loan spell could work out well...?!”
