TWO girls trying to stamp out bullying in their school have been given awards.

Angela Brako and Tionne Virgo from Spring Park Primary, in Bridle Road, Shirley, talk to younger children about bullying and its effects on others.

Tionne said: "I explain to them that their taunts will make someone miserable and that the school will suffer as a result."

The youngsters were given Good Citizenship Awards by the council.
