A GLAMOROUS guest from across the pond wowed Croydon radio show hosts with her inspirational story.

Teresa Scanlan, who made history by becoming the youngest ever Miss America at the age of 17, featured on Teen FM, to talk about life as a beauty queen.

The radio station's manager Jessica Symes, 18, said: "Teresa is such an inspiration to young people striving to achieve – a genuinely lovely girl with the world at her feet. She is the same age as me, so I felt I could really empathise with her winning at such a young age."

Jessica spent time with the beauty queen at her hotel room in London, with fashion proving to be a major discussion topic.

The interview was aired on the online radio station on July 24.
