CCTV images of a man police want to identify have been released after two bicycle thefts.

British Transport Police want to speak to the man in relation to a bike theft at Ashtead station on Saturday, July 24.

The incident was reported after an 18-year-old Ashtead woman discovered her £350 bike had been taken from the station and officers are now appealing for any members of the public with information to get in touch.

Investigating officer PC Paul Gardner said: "The quality of the CCTV stills is excellent and I am sure that someone will recognise this man. If you think you might know who he is then we want to hear from you."

Police also want to speak to the man about another theft at Three Bridges station in Sussex on July 3, when a £200 bike was stolen from the station's bike shelter.

Anyone with information should contact BTP on 0800 405040, quoting reference B7 LSA of 2/8/10.
