Breaking news: Palace plot Smith move
Crystal Palace are plotting a move for former England U20 international forward Ryan Smith.
Smith has been training with the Selhurst Park - but his attempts to earn a SE25 deal have been delayed after picking up a hamstring injury.

PALACE BOUND? Ryan Smith
But, Palace boss Neil Warnock is keen to give Smith, who was released by Southampton at the end of last season, ample chance to prove his worth.
He said: “We’ve had Ryan on trial here – but he’s pulled a hamstring so we can’t have a proper look at him at the moment.
“We think he will be out for three weeks, he is still with us so we will have a look at him once he’s playing.”
Smith, 22, has also spent spells at Millwall, Derby, Arsenal and Leicester.

“At least he's young, unlike a has been like John who was never that good when he was a been. Personally, I don't give a toss about a potential £10 million. As far as I'm concerned if we have any hope of a bright future, we have to hang on to the young talent turned out as a result of the huge investment in the academy, whatever the pressure from Premiership clubs.”

“Brilliant if it works out. Any youngster who is still finding his feet in the game wil lknow at Palace he will be given a chance if good enough and I think the success of the academy is a reason for this.”

“Good to see some movement in the transfer market now and good to see that Neil knows the type of players the team needs.
He is still only 22 and i think would be able to do a good back up job to Sears & Lee.
Bring on August!!”
