YOUNG attacker Kieron Cadogan sealed Palace a 1-1 draw at Brentford in the Eagles final warm up game before their Championship opener against Leicester next Saturday.

Nicky Forster gave the Bees a first half lead with a sweet strike that flew past Julian Speroni.

Brentford were the better side in the opening 45 mnutes and could have stretched their advantage.

But the visitors improved after the break and drew level when Cadogan flicked a Claude Davis header past Simon Moore from Darren Ambrose's corner.

Palace were far from convincing though and manager George Burley will no doubt actively continue his search for players to strengthen his squad over the next week.

Trialist Velice Sumulikoski played in the centre of the park, while teenager Wlfried Zaha again impressed when introduced from the bench.

Palace have struggled for goals throughout pre-season and a dangerous forward will remain top of Burley's wish list.

    “L0uis 4-6-0
On the Bromley v Palace page you said Henry was a Winger/Midfielder & Rooney, Keane & Defoe are like Midfielders
Well L0uis 4-6-0 these 4 players regularly score 20 + goals a season in the Premiership playing up front for their teams & they drop deep, drift out wide to get the ball so they can exploit the opposition with their pace.
L0uis 4-6-0 Rooney, Henry, Keane & Defoe are all Forwards.
L0uis stop moving the goalposts & admit you are wrong.”

“In other words he DOESN'T play with his BACK to Goal and Midfielders like Tim Cahill,Stephen Gerrard & Frank Lampard play similar Roles as do Forwards like Robbie Keane,Wayne Rooney & passed players like Teddy Sheringham and our own Dougie Freedman.”
