Held in the Pulse Sports Hall 28 beauty students from our City & Guilds

Level 2 Beauty Therapy course took part. The show was open to family and friends

of the students, staff and the general public. The competition is put on

annually to allow the students to complete a module of their course in

organising and taking part in a live event and to celebrate the talents of the

beauty students.

The show was judged by tutors at the College and last year's winner, Nicola

Slaymaker. Nicola has since winning the competition completed her beauty course

and is now working in the beauty industry. Nicola came in to speak to the

students in class at College a few weeks before the event to pass on some tips

and advice.

After much deliberation the judges announced Sadie Brooks as the winner.

Sadie received a box full of beauty products. Lauren Butcher was awarded second

place and Elizabeth McNichols received third place.

Sarah Knight, Beauty Team Leader at the College said 'The styles and

concepts the students created on their models were phenomenal. The standard of

the students who have only had 12 weeks of make-up training was remarkably high.

We are really pleased with the results and it was a positive way to end the term

before Christmas.'

Beauty students do a full range of treatments including: manicures,

pedicures, facials, eyes treatments, waxing, make-up, false eyelashes, massage

and spray tanning. Please click here to download our latest beauty treatment and price list. The teaching staff

are all dedicated practitioners who continue to work in industry alongside their

teaching role, keeping updated of new trends, innovative ideas and

practices.

The team have worked in various salons and spa's around London and around the

world, on board cruise ships, managing salons within health clubs, run beauty

businesses both mobile and salon based and worked as therapists with triathlon

athletes, marathon runners and football clubs.
