There were 16

award winners for Student of the Year from different classes and a most

improved learner and overall student of the year. The winners were selected by

staff, placement officers and employers from the work placements where students

are placed. Nastexo Ali is pictured receiving her

award for most outstanding learning from the Principal Peter Mayhew-Smith.

Over 60 guests

attended the ceremony and everyone enjoyed a three course meal provided by the

catering and hospitality students. Each winner was awarded a trophy and

certificate by the Principal. When

presented with their awards an individual testimonial for each winner was read

out to let their family and friends know why the award was so deserved.

Nicola Laver,

Curriculum Manager for Care and Early Years said 'I am very proud of all my

Team for the commitment they make to ensure that the learners all have the best

opportunities to learn and succeed regardless of the obstacles that may be in

their way and I am even prouder still of my Learners who take these

opportunities and work hard to achieve their goals – often exceeding their own

expectations.'
