Carshalton College raising money for Children in Need

Carshalton

College students and staff are busy organising activities to raise money

for Children In Need.

Organised

by the Care & Early Years Department, staff & students are raising

money for the BBC charity event in the week leading up to the main national

fundraising evening on 16 November.

On Tuesday 13 November, Wednesday 14

November and Friday 16 November there will be a cake sale organised by the

students with a guess the weight of the cake and guess the number of sweets in

a jar competition. At the cake sale on Wednesday 14 November there will also be

henna painting for those who wish to have their hand painted. In addition to

the cake sales, students will be going round college in fancy dress or pyjamas

with collection boxes & there will also be a name the teddy competition

going on too.

BBC Children

in Need is the BBC's UK corporate charity and they provide grants to projects

in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged.

Covering all corners of the UK they support small and large organisations which

empower children and extend their life choices.
