A children's event will take place in the Selsdon Woods on Monday July 27.

The day, for three to seven-year-olds and their families, includes story-telling and environmental activities.

Visitors are asked to bring suitable clothing and footwear for the weather, and something to sit on while listening to the stories.

The day is organised by Selsdon Library in Addington Road, and its staff will provide books, activities, squash and freebies to take home.

But the event will be cancelled if it is too wet, windy or cold.

Parents are asked to meet at the Woods' car park in Old Farleigh Road for the event, which runs from 2.30 to 3.30pm.
