Christmas Lights Switch On

Last week Christmas finally arrived in Croydon with the big Christmas lights switch on.

Crowds gathered to see the town centre and High Street illuminated with festive lights that put everyone in the Christmas spirit.

Lighting up the dancefloor: kids play on the light up displays

Doing the honours this year was ex-Eastender Michelle Collins, who's starring in the Take That inspired musical Never Forget at Fairfield just before Christmas.

She was joined by Crystal Palace Football Club, the Mayor, carol singers and winter stilt walkers in a Christmas extravaganza.
