PALACE youngster James Comley has been sponsored by Marie Curie Cancer Care for the remainder of the season.

The charity have close links with the club and have decided to back the teenager for the remainder of the campaign.

Comley, who is on the fringes of the first team, said that he was happy to be supported by such a worthy cause.

"I am delighted that Marie Curie Cancer Care has chosen to sponsor my home shirt," he said. "As a Crystal Palace player I am very aware of the support the club gives to the charity. I have been pleased to take part in several photo-calls to promote the work of this worthwhile cause.

"Marie Curie nurses work through the day and night providing care, support and relief for patients and their families.

"It costs £20 to pay for one hour of nursing care and I hope everyone is inspired to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care – every pound really makes a difference.

"When wearing my team shirt I will be inspired by the brilliant care the Marie Curie nurses provide."
