CROYDON Harriers athletes Peter Chambers and Harvey Stainthorpe acquitted themselves well at the National Inter Counties Cross Country Championships.

Chambers (U15) was 47th, a second behind the current Surrey champion, while Stainthorpe (U13) placed 115th. The Trinity School duo helped Surrey to third and first in their respective age group team events.

Along with fellow Trinity runner Andrew Fanthorpe, they travel to Manchester tomorrow (Saturday) to represent Surrey again at the English Schools Championships.
