A male choir with a "sense of fun" is appealing for more members to join in weekly sing-songs.

The Croydon Male Voice Choir rehearses every Thursday, from 8pm until 10pm, at the Sandilands Cricket Club, in Grimwade Avenue.

Committee member Bernard Maguire said: "We're like a group of old friends, everyone gets on so well and we have so much fun.

"We do regular charity concerts and take part in festivals. While our members are roughly between 40 to 80, we welcome all ages.

"No special skill in reading music is required, just the ability to hold a tune and follow the director's beat."
