Of this number, 273 have been charged or summonsed to court.
The figures are accurate as of January 23, a spokesman said, and are the most recent statistics.
Across London, 3,864 people have been arrested in connection with the riots, with 2,385 of these charged or summonsed.
"There was obviously a significant amount of disorder in Croydon, but these figures show that we are determined to bring all of those involved to justice," said Detective Superintendent Simon Messinger, who is leading the investigation.
"Even six months on, we are still identifying and arresting new suspects on an almost daily basis.
"My team of officers investigating the disorder in Croydon are absolutely committed to tracking down and identifying everybody involved in criminality during the disorder."
There are still 534 arrests and 149 charges across London which have yet to be attributed to a particular borough.
The statistics rely on police officers manually noting where each arrest is made and whether it is linked to Operation Withern.
