Croydon is to play host to the London Community Gospel Choir - as they sing ITV's new FA Cup theme Abide With Me.

This features 13-year-old James Donaghey as part of the collective of some of the finest voices in the country.

The power and the beauty of the choir has already been witnessed at Glastonbury, on the soundtrack for the Disney smash hit The Lion King and live on the pitch at the Wembley FA Cup Final.

Energetic and inspiring and spirit-filled this sensational choir was also singing on the X-Factor and at Wayne Rooney's wedding.

In other words they are sought-after and so their arrival on the stage at Croydon Fairfield next month is quite a coup.

All ages, colour and background comprise the group of fabulous voices.

Founded in 1982 by Rev. Bazil Meade, who still leads the choir the music is rooted in the glorious gospel tradition. Their unique style also spans soul, R'n'B, Swing-beat, and is delivered with irresistible energy and choreography.

Testimony to LCGC's sound are the artists that it has sung with: Madonna, Sting, Elton, George Michael, McCartney, Diana Ross, P. Diddy, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Westlife, Tina Turner and even Gorillaz.

LCGC have also lit up the nation's TV screens over the years, appearing regularly on Parkinson, GMTV, This Morning, Songs Of Praise, Jools Holland and several Royal Variety Performances.

Tickets for the March 3 show are available from the Fairfield Box Office, telephone 020 8688 9291 or online at www.fairfield.co.uk priced £19.50 and £21.50.
