“At least the residents of Netley Close didn't have to worry about being burgled when they went to enjoy their street party because most of them weren't invited. My cousin lives there and apparently a lot of people were very angry because the lady who WON all the food and decorations in the Iceland competition only invited her friends and family. The few she did invite from the street were asked to bring food??? and made to feel very unwelcome. Community event? She should be ashamed.”

“Despite the weather, it was great to see a good community turnout in New Addington at the ACA - lots of happy faces and a sea of red/white and blue!
Thanks to all who came to the Carnival stall - we raised approx £50 but more importantly, handed out forms for the upcoming competitions and enabled more advertising :)”

“To mikeyjf, well I hope there will be adequate security to prevent any criminal activities! And I hope the police will have photos of known criminals on them to prevent them from attending, and spoiling everyone else's enjoyment.”

“Your paper has given a license to the criminals to attend what road and what times, while people try to enjoy themselves !”
