A campaigning dad was delighted when model and children's author Katie Price, aka Jordan, autographed a book in support of his cause.
Chris Phillips, whose daughter Jo was murdered by her violent and abusive husband in 2005, said he hoped the gesture would help raise awareness of domestic violence.
The 54-year-old attended the book signing at WH Smith in the Whitgift Centre at 11am, on Saturday, where Jordan was selling copies of her new book Standing Out.
She wrote: "To Chris, I'm backing you up".
Mr Phillips, 54, of Rogers Close, Old Coulsdon, said: "I'm delighted someone of her fame and stature is supporting such an important cause.
"We desperately need to raise aware of domestic violence so that women don't end up like my daughter."

“Good she gave her support, with funbags like that she knows all about support.
That said I assume someone punched her in the mouth after the book signing and before the Jungle, well someone has, look at her”

“"Fame and Stature"??????????????
It's a shame as this is such a serious subject to have a character like Jordan/Katie Price associated with it. And of course I imagine her sympathy and interest was genuine and was so affected by the story she had to go on a holiday in a fake jungle setting, leaving her children yet again for another rest from being such a busy 24/7 mum.”

“She was signing all of the books bought.
A much better gesture of support would have been if she dipped into her handbag and donated all of the days takings.”
