East Croydon delays after train derails at station
TRAINS through East Croydon are delayed this morning (Wednesday) after an engineering unit derailed.
It is believed the engineering train came off the tracks at about 7.15am, but no one was injured.
Trains are subject to 15-minute delays, but operator Southern said there was 'no current estimate' for when services will resume.
Routes affected include journeys south to Redhill, Gatwick, Tattenham Corner and Caterham, and north to New Cross Gate, Selhurst, Balham, Crystal Palace and Brixton.

“tbabygib, you're probably the sanest person on this sight ! We all love you, crazy or not!
With regards to the on/off topic, many posts are mysteriously being deleted for apparantely "not being on topic". A poster on this site has apparently been trigger happy with the "report" button. Bit sad really, but that's trolls for you. Always looking for attention.”

“Agree The3rd, As you know I'm not the sanest person on here,

“Even more off topic but I think people who commit suicide must be mentally unstable.
Exactly, its an illness. So, therefore they are NOT doing it to inconvenience others. So its only to the NORMAL(if there is such a thing) minded thinking people who see it as a COWARD'S way out.”

“RecFan they are cowards as they cannot face up to their problems whatever they be, and EXTREMELY selfish on their families and friends, not to mention the poor train drivers who live with those memories the rest of their lives.
Oh and the 10's of thousands of commuters who are inconvenienced by their selfish act.”

“Actually Recfan (and I know this off topic, so please do not report me and get my post deleted), but I think that suicide is a cowards way out.
Yes, of course it is an awful and sad thing, the loss of life. But the suicide victim leaves all the problems behind for the friends and family to deal with. I'm not sure if the inconvenience of thousands of commuters even comes into their minds.
Even more off topic but I think people who commit suicide must be mentally unstable. It is not normal to want to kill yourself. The human mind fights to live, not die. It's just so sad that some people see this as their only alternative.
Back on topic, we pay thousands of pounds each year and we get very little in return. The most expensive train network in the world yet when the train turns up it is late and overcrowded.”

"I'm talking about the cowards who leap in front of moving trains cuppa."
DonJones99 - you can't be serious with this comment? Surely you're just trolling? If not, please behave yourself.
I'm sure you know that people don't jump in front of trains because they are cowards. It's tragic that someone decides to end their life this way. They don't do it to inconvenience you. You're not that important.”

“The train network is awful yet us commuters have to pay £000's per year for the privilige of hot stuffy over congested carriages.
Then there's the delays, don't get me started; and the jumpers, they make my blood boil!”
