Episode of ITV drama The Bill filmed at Selhurst school
Pupils have been back at Selhurst School - but they were all actors filming an upcoming episode of police drama The Bill.
The school, in The Crescent, was closed last summer , a victim of its lack of popularity with Croydon parents.

TV FAME: Camera equipment at the school last month
Producers of the ITV cop show took advantage of the fact it has been lying empty ever since to film scenes there last month.
The episode featuring the school will be broadcast on Wednesday April 8.
The plot sees PC Nate Roberts (actor Ben Richards) appointed as safety officer for the fictional Deansgate Comprehensive.
But he soon clashes with a teacher over how problems at the school should be tackled.
Producers say they hope the episode will highlight the pressures that exist in modern schools for teachers, children, parents and police.

“I look forward to seeing the episode as I am an Old Croydonian who attended Selhurst in the latter end of WW2. There is an active Old Boys Association so if this episode stirs memories and you are not yet a member - get up and join! It's open for girls too!

“Look forward to seeing the episode.
They are always filming in Croydon and have lost count of times I've seen them around. You almost don't notice it anymore.
Hilarious to see a scene where they are driving round and round in circles past the Clocktower time and time again apparently driving somewhere else!!!
Needs continuity methinks!”
