Exclusive: Croydon gang brazenly post gun pictures on the internet

Laughing in the face of the law a smug member of Croydon gang DSN poses with a gun, in a photo brazenly posted on the internet for the world to see.
It is part of a disturbing video posted by a Don't Say Nothing member on YouTube which also includes a close up picture of a pistol and ammunition clip.
A police source confirmed the weapons are almost certainly real.
He said: "I am 99 per cent sure these are genuine guns. DSN are so blatant about it, it is unbelievable.
"A lot of gangs are about image and if they do this on the web it is a way of being promoted within the ranks. They don't care about the law."
Almost 1,000 people have viewed the video since it was uploaded two months ago by a user calling himself "Croydontown".
His profile bears the slogan "If you get shanked (stabbed) Don't Say Nothing."
Lucy Cope, from campaign group Mothers Against Guns, hit out at the website and fears it could lead to one-upmanship between gangs in different boroughs.
She said: "I've seen it and I am stunned.
"Today it is DSN showing how bad they are and tomorrow it will be a Peckham gang trying to show they are badder.
"I think it is appalling and YouTube should be closed down. I think it is terrible that gangs can go on bragging.
"As far as I am concerned it is conspiracy to affray. "
The Advertiser approached YouTube to ask why the video had not been taken down.
In a statement, YouTube said: "Our policy prohibits inappropriate content on YouTube.
"Our community understands the rules and effectively polices the site for inappropriate material.
"The users can flag content that they feel is inappropriate and, once it is flagged, YouTube reviews the content and removes it from the system within minutes if it violates our community guidelines."
However, as the Advertiser went to press the video was still online.
Croydon police have repeatedly claimed this year that they have broken up DSN, after jailing key gang members.
But this video would suggest the gang is still very active, and police have vowed to investigate.
A Croydon police spokeswoman said: "Police are aware of the content of YouTube and other media.
"Such transmissions are investigated and any evidence of criminal activity will be thoroughly investigated.
"Police have already successfully prosecuted individuals who are posting such images on this type of media."

“Tan Babes, if what you say is true and these 'DSN' members that you so obvioulsy 'admire' are students in Uni then I would expect them to have more sense and brain power to realise that being a member of a 'gang' has no future prospects other than of death or prison. Or are you insinuating that as we do not know them that 'DSN' are getting a bad press and that they are not involved in gang activity or carrying weapons but are infact an organisation that has the communities best interests at heart?
