Exclusive: Eagles offered Fulham hitman
Palace have been offered Fulham striker Eddie Johnson, the Advertiser can reveal.
The USA international, who spent last season at Cardiff City, is deemed surplus to requirements at Craven Cottage - but still has two years left to run on his current deal.

Touted: Johnson
Johnson is keen to leave the west Londoners on loan next season - and the player's agent has contacted Palace with a view to a possible move to SE25.
Boss Neil Warnock said: "We've had a phone call about him from his agent - but we don't know if we are going to follow it up.
"It's an option."

“For the love of God no! We do not need Eddie Johnson.Of all the Americans playing in England I'd take just about anyone but him. He disappears for huge chunks of the game and doesn't have the creativity required to be a player at even the Championship level.”

“He must surely be on pretty high wages and we can´t afford to spend money on a player who doesn´t fit 100 % into NW´s plans.
If he would, Neil would have contacted his agent himself, I guess...
Personally, I´d prefer Jerome Thomas for the left wing to free up Moses (and/or Scannell) for the middle.”

“Marlon , you are right. I got mixed up with Eddie Lewis who used to play for you as you well know. Thanks for putting me right, saves me from feeling a plonker eh. Good luck for next season in the prem and the europa league. Hodgson is a top bloke and a decent manager.”

“As far as I know he isnt a winger, hes a center fwd. Done well in the American League but not up to Prem Standards and only got two games under his belt with us. I think Palace could benefit from him being on loan with Cardiff last season.”

“A good enough winger but too predictable I think. We need players with more invention but in any case and in my opinion I do not rate the americans much playing in our leagues, apart from Mcbride who did a good job for Fulham. Maybe someone can prove me wrong.”
