WORLD Cup atmosphere, complete with vuvuzela horns, swept over the playing fields of a Thornton Heath school last Saturday.

The event was the annual football festival organised for youngsters at St James the Great RC Primary, in Windsor Road.

This year, more than 120 girls and boys competed in the tournament in 16 teams.

Every player was given a medal.

The festival, the school's fourth, was kicked off, as it has been every year, by Croydon North MP Malcolm Wicks.
