Forestdale school shows off new bear sculptures
WOOD you believe it? This is the sight that greets children as they enter a Forestdale school each morning.
Chainsaw artist Will Leigh worked with children at Courtwood Primary School to make the sculpture of a family of bears from the remains of a dead oak tree.
Previously, Will worked his magic to create another sculpture on the school grounds, featuring woodland animals including an owl, the school's symbol.
Head teacher Meg Gibbons said: "I think it looks absolutely wonderful.
"The bears face the road, so they greet the children when they come into school in the morning.
"We're hoping to do more projects with Will in the future."
