Anyone over the age of 55 is being encouraged to take advantage of a "joint surgery" being held on their behalf.

Croydon Council and Upper Norwood Safer Neighbourhood Team have arranged for a host of groups to be on hand in the same place at the same time to offer advice and help in a range of subjects.

A "pop-in bus" will be at the junction of Ingram Road and Virginia Road today between 11am and 12.30pm.

There will be representatives from Age Concern, Croydon Hearing Resource Centre, the Alzhiemer's Society and a host of other groups.

The service is completely free of charge – all you have to do is turn up.
