Freedman's Baldock aim
PALACE boss Dougie Freedman has said the Eagles would be interested in players like Sam Baldock.
The West Ham striker has been linked with a potential move away from Upton Park this summer, with Ipswich Town, Charlton Athletic and Crystal Palace all reportedly interested in securing his services on a possible season-long loan deal.
But Freedman said the club has not made any move for the former MK Dons striker.
He said: "Sam is a very good young player, but we have not made any contact with West Ham."

Freedman said Palace would be looking at players like that as they look to strengthen their attacking options for the season ahead.
But he added: "We are nowhere near that."
Freedman also said there was no movement on a potential deal for Chris Martin, who was on loan with the Eagles last season from Norwich City.
He said: "He did very well for us, but nothing has happened there at all."
Meanwhile, Freedman would rather put faith in the club's young talent than pay over the odds for lower league starlets.
He said that while he would not rule out signing a player from the lower league, the deal and the player had to be right. He said: "You are always looking at the lower leagues, but you often have to spend big money."
He added: "With good young players, it might take time, but history tells you that sometimes building up your own is a better way of doing it.

“When he says "nowhere near that" is he showing a lack of ambition in thinking we cannot sign a loan deal for a premiership striker?”
