Guilfoyle pulls out of fans meeting
by Daniel Jones
PALACE administrator Brendan Guilfoyle has pulled out of meeting with the club's supporters this evening as he tries to push through with a sale of the club.
Guilfoyle, of the P & A Partnership, was scheduled to attend an evening organised by the Supporters Trust at Selhurst Park.
However, eager to meet tomorrow's deadline for a buyer to prove funds and with negotiations at a delicate stage he has decided to pull out.
"Currently the situation is finely balanced as we come up to the deadline on Friday. I apologise to the Trust members that I am unable to be in attendance to answer their questions in person but do assure all of them that as soon as any information is ready for release it will appear on the club's official website," he said.
"I remain confident that we will find a potential buyer for the club and look forward to having further discussions with interested parties as we attempt to move this football club onto its next chapter.
"A big thank you to the way the Trust have shown their support of the club during these difficult times and I ask all supporters to keep the faith."

I wrote when we acquired Davis that a friend of mine who is a Derby season ticket holder said Davis had all the attributes of a footballer it's just than when he plays he is ungainly and switches off and is always getting booked and that they were glad to get rid of him. I think it's fair to say he has been proved absolutely right!!”

“clive i think the reason we started shiping goals was because davis and lawrence are both dire defenders ,me i would play a youngster in there place and lee and the woeful john and Andrews all though he,s been injured for a long time can,t score to save there lives or ours is whats known as we had our chips i cannot see us getting out of this , hope yes prey yes but in truth we,ve all the uncertainty of the club nobody wanted has affected us all from the fan to the players with the news albeit that if the get the ground the clubs been sold on that point, i,m sure will gee the lads up tonight god knows we need it !!!! hope this helps answer your question mate ,”

“Jim
Ignore PottyLou they make bold statements and predictions and then either don't admit when they are wrong (L0uis) or disappear for long periods (Potty). What they both know about football you could write on the back of a postage stamp. Well all know Jordan is not blameless he even was big enough to admit himself he had made lots of mistakes (unlike Potty and L0uis) and now it looks as though the preferred bid might not go ahead if they can't buy the ground. From the team perspective I can't see how we can go from playing (almost) play off football to relegation fodder even though we lost Fonte (average) and Moses (excellent). Even with the loss of 10 points we should still have been able to get out of trouble. L0uis said playing 2 defensive midfielders to protect the defence was the way forward but even with a defensive team, we are still leaking goals”

“I understand what you mean Luis. Just make a valid opinion and just ignore their stupidity. That's all we want to hear, geunine opinions and to respond in a respectful way and we both try to do that.
It's a classic case isn't it when people lose an arguement they revert to a barrage of abuse. So much for what the Croydon Ad said yesterday.”
