Hart backs his skipper to respond
EAGLES boss Paul Hart has thrown his support behind club captain Shaun Derry.
Sections of the Selhurst Park crowd were critical of their skipper's performance during the 2-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers last Saturday.
But, while accepting the supporters are entitled to voice their opinion, Hart insisted that he has every faith in Derry's leadership qualities on the pitch.
"Shaun is our captain and has been inspirational in my time at the club," said the manager.
"Every player is entitled to a bad game, but Shaun is our captain and leads the team by example.
"I've been here for six weeks now and he has really impressed me with his attitude and his performances."
