Jobs fair helps to lift work prospects
GOOD for business and good for jobs was the verdict of those taking part in a jobs fair held last week.
Organised by Croydon social enterprise company 3D Change, the South London Jobs Fair brought together small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and 13 leading housing associations as exhibitors with an emphasis on the smaller firms gaining contracts with the associations.
Firms exhibiting also had the chance of face-to-face meetings with procurement officers from the housing associations to help them break into the contract market.
The jobs fair also had about 700 employment opportunities on offer aimed at the long-term jobless and those looking for a career change.
