CRYSTAL Palace will complete the signing of full back Tony Capaldi later today.

The former Plymouth and Cardiff left back has been on trial with the Eagles all week and has done enough for manager George Burley to offer him a deal.

The final details will be thrashed out this morning and everything should be finalised this afternoon.

"We are aiming to complete a deal with Tony today," said Burley. "He's an experienced Championship defender and fills the hole we have at left back. Young Lee Hills will be out for a few months and we need someone to fill that gap.

"The signing will give us three recognised full backs with David Wright, Nathaniel Clyne and now Tony."

Burley is also close to finalising a deal for Irish midfielder Owen Garvan. The Eagles manager met the young Irish midfielder yesterday and was pleased with how the talks went.

As well as Garvan and Capaldi Palace are keen to add one more midfielder and a striker before the season starts a week on Saturday.

I have no sympathy with Bostock and his advisors. He's paying the price of sheer greed.

Moses has a chance at Wigan, but what a choiceof club.”
