Lineker strikes late to save Mitsubishi

Terry Lineker's late strike salvaged an unlikely draw for leaders Mitsubishi Electric against second-placed AFC Phoenix.

In control from the start Phoenix had to wait until the 70th minute to take the lead through Sebastian Sastrebski. They looked set to close the gap on the division's pacesetters until Lineker struck three minutes from time.
Division One
GOLDEN Lion Reserves went top following their 7-1 rout of struggling Woodmansterne Hyde. Billy Chincharo scored twice to take his tally to 24 in 12 games and there were also two goals each for Nigel Ikolodo and Junior Ward. Tom Blesson scored the other.
Jerome Walker scored the goals as Postmac surprised AFC Thornton Heath by claiming their first win in five matches thanks to a 2-1 success.
Division Two
TIM Lloyd returned from injury to claim the only goal of a scrappy game as Real Madras overcame Portland 1-0.
Sanderstead Spitfires beat Banter Central 3-0.
Coulsdon Rangers and Carlton United drew 2-2. Carl Lish and Joe Wise scored Coulsdon's goals with Paul Bunter and Tony Thomas replying for Carlton.
Santos 92 edged out bottom-of-the-table Oakfield Manor A 3-2. John Dowling and Tom Rhodes were on target with Kevin McGourty netting his 14th goal in 10 games for Santos.
Division Three
CHRIS Fisher netted both goals for AFC Rio bringing his tally to 17 for the season, but his efforts were not enough to prevent Green Phoenix Eagles claiming a 3-2 win.
Martin Smith scored four and Francis Ameyan and Lauro Arajo were also on target as Carshalton Town overcame Purley Phoenix A 6-0 to maintain second place.
Division Four
BARRACUDA did their title chances no good by going down 5-4 to Addiscombe Corinthinans. Deon Newby claimed a hat-trick for Barracuda, giving him 20 goals for the season, and Sean Napp was also on target. However, their efforts were cancelled out by goals for Addiscombe's Elmar Brown, Gareth Buckley, Iuri Menezes and Andre Malcolm (2).
Andrew Ackland gave Forum Flyers an early lead, but they had to settle for a 1-1 with Athletico Croydon. Forum were not helped by the fact that they had a man sent off and Athletico capitalised through Paul Samuels, who equalised with a shot that went in via the underside of the cross bar. To their credit, Forum tried to get the winner only to be denied by the post twice.
Justin Ambrose, Ben Heaton, Marlon Waller and Karl Rose (2) ensured Ashburton Wanderers kept pace with the leaders thanks to a 5-2 win over bottom team Oakfield Manor B (Matt Driscoll and Chris Mann).
PSV Greenacres and Surrey Valley fought out a 3-3 draw. Perry Moncton scored twice for Surrey and Lee Williamson added the other. Michael Finch, Sam Greenaway and Tom Greengrass replied.
Nathanial Kwami took his goal tally to 23 in 12 games with both goals for Croydon Corporation as they went down 4-2 to Ravens United.
Division Five
PHOENIX Athletic increased their lead at the top of the table with a 4-1 win over Southwark Caribb. Kierron Diaz, Ashley Jones, Alan Muir and Terence Thorpe were the scorers for Phoenix and Prince Amikero replied for Southwark.
League Challenge Cup
DIVISION One Purley Phoenix overcame Premier team Barca 3-1 in the second round. Luke Merritt scored for Barca but goals from Beni Dhesi, Phil Myers and Matthew Osbourne put Purley through to the next round this weekend.
CR Galaxy, of Division One, beat Premier strugglers Frinton Rovers 4-1.
Surrey FA Junior Cup
CROYDON Postal's run came to an end as they went down 2-1 to South Park in the quarter-finals.
James Murphy claimed Postal's only goal of the tie.
