THE family of a young man who was murdered on Valentine's Day two years ago are launching a fresh appeal to find his killer.

Builder Mark Corcoran was stabbed in the chest outside the Subitha Food and Wine shop on Whitehorse Lane at around 8.20pm on February 14, 2010. He was 26.

A £20,000 reward for information leading to a conviction remains unclaimed and his family hope their new appeal will jog memories and encourage people to come forward.

Mark's stepfather Alan Smith said he and his wife Julia would be raising awareness outside the Whitgift Centre on Saturday lunchtime before an appeal at the scene of the crime on Tuesday.

Mr Smith said: "In the two years since he's been gone nothing's got easier – he's always in our thoughts. He was a very vibrant young man and it's devastated the whole family."

Anyone with information about Mark's death can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. The family also have a phone number – 07928 143235 – for people who do not want to deal with the police.

“How awful must this be for the family, they got to be able to find closure, SOMEONE must have seen something or even know something, i don't know this family and couldn't comprehend what they are going through.... so if you know something then spill the beans and help the family move on in a positive way!”
