LOCAL businessman Winston McKenzie claims to be heading an overseas consortium hoping to hijack the purchase of Crystal Palace.

McKenzie says he is the figure head of an anonymous group who are aiming to rescue Palace from administration.

And despite administrator Brendan Guilfoyle stating that a deal is close to being done with an as yet unnamed individual, McKenzie remains hopeful his consortium can complete a takeover.

"This is a really fantastic project and we are very serious about our intentions," he said. "I'm a local boy and have Palace in my heart.

"I'm after the freehold of Selhurst as well. There would be no deal if we couldn't get that.

"My consortium want to remain anonymous at this stage. All I can say is that they are a very large company and they have a very large interest in taking over Palace."

“McKenzie knows nothing about business, nothing about football a bit like jordan apart from jordan had small amount of carisma.
A successful football club needs a shrewd business man, a tough manager and a physically strong team of players.
The chairman will get rewarded if he invests wisely, in a manager whom the players respect and are scared of. The team will win, the fans will come, the team will progress”

“Interesting article. Just confirms what we already suspected. We were in poor league form recently, so was Warnock the man for the fight?? I don't think so. Maybe we'll actually try and beat Sheffield Utd today now he's gone. Onwards and upwards I say.”

“There you are, I¿ve told you from the beginning the deal was done in Warnock¿s head weeks ago.

When Jordan told Warnock that Palace had gone into administration the first thing Warnock said was ¿I¿m off then¿, but Jordan begged him stay.
I am not a Jordan fan but as someone else said on this sight Jordan is a true Palace fan.

Warnocks loyalty to his Players = Zero and to the Palace fans = zero.
Warnocks loyalty to his best mate Jordan = Zero. And don¿t tell me about security for his family because Warnock must be loaded. The man¿s a turncoat because he had a contract at the Palace.
So to sum up Warnock couldn¿t handle it and done a runner.

Simon Jordan: 'Warnock only went to QPR for the money'”
