Murder investigation launched after New Addington attack victim dies in hospital
A MURDER investigation has been launched after a man attacked in New Addington on Saturday night died in hospital.
Police were called to Wayside at about 11.50pm on Saturday after reports a man had been assaulted.
The 55-year-old victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, but died at about 1.35pm today (Wednesday).
The Metropolitan Police Service said the Homicide and Serious Crime Command has now taken over the investigation.

A 39-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody.
