Abdul Muzammil can consider himself one of the unluckiest men of the weekend after the Sanderstead batsman was run out two runs short of his century.
The Millers' game with Oxted had already meandered to a draw when Muzammil attempted a second run in the final over only to be beaten by Stuart Fletcher's throw.
The innings was one of the few highlights of a game neither side looked like winning.
Chasing 249 for victory, the home side struggled against Dave Paisey, who straightened one to trap Dan Udall leg-before for 11. Gordon Boxshall took two outstanding running catches to remove Simon Carter and Phil Roodt, but Oxted paid the price for twice dropping Muzammil in the slips.
Robert Hollands joined Sanderstead's overseas player in a solid 108-run fifth wicket partnership that was always behind the required rate.
In a dramatic final over Muzammil was run out and Richard Key bowled for a duck, but Hollands was still there unbeaten on 43 as his side closed on 175-4.
Key had earlier taken 3-39 as Oxted had posted 248-9 after being asked to bat first.
Division Two
Westfield Saints 153 Caterham 155-7
STUART Congdon's poise in the middle-order ensured Caterham claimed a three-wicket win over Westfield Saints.
Chasing a modest 154 for victory, Cats got off to a good start thanks to 46 from opener Mike Randall.
However, the victory charge was put under pressure by Alain Bossart, who claimed four wickets to give his side a sniff of victory.
Luckily for Caterham, Congdon held firm and was unbeaten on 24 when the winning runs were hit in the 44th over.
