NETBALL: IT WAS a good day for Croydon netball as 46 teams took advantage of frost free courts to continue their league campaign.

However, United endured a difficult afternoon with both their teams depleted in numbers and up against strong opposition.

First the B team, who failed to make the most of their opportunities even though Jax Evans put in a good display, went down 64-23 against the Allstars, before the A side went down 48-23 to Roundwood B despite an excellent performance from Katy Farrell.

In the premier division Hs A beat Wandsworth 50-42 while Coombe edged out Karisma 42-35, thanks largely to some brilliant shooting from Katie White.

In division one the Crickets beat Hs B 28-18 while in division five Ace overcame Hs Teens 35 -29, Hs C beat Hillcrest 41 -28 and Wandsworth C overcame Roundwood E 32-22.
