Palace hope to name new boss by tomorrow
THE administrators running Crystal Palace aim to have Neil Warnock's replacement in place to take training tomorrow morning.
After a heavy schedule of matches the Eagles playing staff have been given the start of the week off, but are due back in in the morning to work on preparations for the weekend's game with Sheffield United.
As it stands it is not clear who will take the session but the Advertiser understands that Brendan Guilfoyle, of the P & A Partnership, is hopeful of installing the new man in time to take training.
Warnock, 61, completed a switch to Queens Park Rangers late last night, signing a three and a half year deal after the two clubs agreed a satisfactory compensation package.
While there has still been no confirmation from the club it is widely expected that Warnock will take his coaching staff, including Mick Jones and Keith Curle, with him to Loftus Road.
Names reported as his possible replacement have included Gareth Southgate, Steve Coppell, Paul Hart and Iain Dowie.
