Rumours of Warnock's imminent departure were further fuelled after Saturday's defeat to Coventry, when the Eagles boss refused to talk about a possible switch to Queens Park Rangers.
While it seems certain that the manager will be in charge for Wednesday night's FA Cup replay at Aston Villa many fear that will be his last game at the club.
Derry insisted that the speculation wouldn't affect the Eagles' build up to the big clash at Villa Park, but conceded that his team hadn't been told one way or the other whether Warnock would be leaving.
"There are a lot of rumours flying around, but he hasn't given us any impression either way if he will stay or go," said the Palace skipper.
"While he is here we fully respect the manager, he respects us and he's the manager of the club. Until he says otherwise then I guess we will just have to get on with it.
"Every one of us has gone on record to say he's the man for us and only the administrators and Neil know what's going on. All we can do is try and put in the performances for him or whoever else is in charge."

“Fair play to ya, Just hope it dont keep freezing aye? How come you cant get down the palace, Iv seen you say a few times on here that you cant afford it?? Where do you live and how far is it from palace? Football aint cheap anymore is it, I remember paying only a fiver to get into the homesdale (E2) now its £25.00 or so. IT costs me about £100-£120 per home game but only £60-80 for an away game from mk. Its more like a business than a sport nowadays.”
