Peter Ramage, pictured in action for Crystal Palace last season, has returned to sign a permanent deal with the Eagles
Ramage told his Twitter followers this afternoon: "Finally put the old autograph to paper on permanent deal at #cpfc.Couldn't be more happy to be back at eagles, can't wait for season...."
Manager Dougie Freedman had been looking for further defensive options after the departures of Nathaniel Clyne and Anthony Gardner, and Ramage can play across the back four if required.

The former Newcastle United and Queens Park Rangers man is well-liked in SE25 and co-chairman Steve Parish told Advertiser Sport last week that he would "love to have him on board" for next season.
"Peter's a lovely bloke and we'd love to have him on board, but it's got to be right for him and it's got to be right for us," said Parish. "You never get anything less than 100 per cent from him."

“Luis,
a decent win at Swindon, did you attend the match?
Luis, you said after the Welling defeat, Friendlies are Meaningless, they are just about getting the players fit, so why was it a a decent win, if in your `opinion, friendlies are Meaningless?
Luis, what was the crowd like, what was the game like, who played well for Palace, you must have traveled to the game, because you have gave us a match report.”

“And do you think we are relegation candidates with the likes of Speroni, Mcarthy, Moxey, Parr, Williams Jedi and wilf. Get real and be positive my friend, the season has yet to begin. I despair sometimes.”

“Golden eagle, it is a huge step up to the first team from the academy. When the youth players do step up such as Wilf, Clyne, Williams, Okeefe and now hopefully Da Silva, and Hills before his injury they are deemed good enough. Allasaine, Sow and Innis to mention but a few will all be good enough to step up, it all depends when they are ready.”

“Our problem is that we have so many squad players and youth players who are not quite good enough to be regulars in the first team. We have sold off 4 significant players and replaced them with nothing much so far, aside from Joel Ward. I expect relegation this season and have used common sense to place a bet that we are going down.”

“Peter Ramage is a Good,SQUAD,Signing to Cover Defensive Areas & is Not a Replacement for Nathaniel Clyne,Joel Ward the Replacement,or Anthony Gardner,Aaron Martin Replacement.”

“My OPINION is that Ramage is not going to be a good enough replacement for Nathaniel Clyne as I said in my first comment. Furthermore, he is not a good enough replacement for Gardener who was vital last year and carried our captain the wreckless paddy for half the season.
Do you think Ramage is a top signing rambo_3?
How can you have the nerve to tell me I have no opinion in my comment when you are copying yours straight from the palace website? There is a good reason people slate you and mark down your comments. THINK ABOUT IT.”
