Price set for new contract
CRYSTAL Palace are set to offer Lewis Price a new contract to keep him at Selhurst Park beyond the end of the season.
Eagles boss Dougie Freedman has been impressed with the 27-year-old's displays in this season's Carling Cup and is keen to secure the long term future of a player he feels is capable of challenging Julian Speroni for the number one shirt.
"We're going to open talks with Lewis with the view to getting him to sign a new deal," revealed Freedman. "He hasn't ever let me down this season when he has come into the side and I've been impressed with him.
"We want to have quality cover in each position and I think Lewis has a bright future ahead of him.

"Julian isn't going to play forever and one day we'll need to replace him."
The Eagles have worked hard this season to tie down their brightest young talent with Sean Scannell and Jonathan Williams both having penned new deals at the club.
