Purley youngster becoming something of a familiar face on TV
Francesca Crawford may be only six years old, but she is already becoming something of a familiar face on TV.
The youngster from Purley has appeared in a Sainsbury's advert and on children's channel CBeebies.
She explained: "CBeebies have a summer song they play and I'm dancing in it.
"At the end we run out from umbrellas and we are running really fast. You can see a man and I'm behind him."
In the Sainsbury's advert the Waddon Infant School pupil showcases the supermarket's Back to School clothes range.
But she explained: "CBeebies was my favourite because I like watching it.
"And when I went to school my friends said they saw me, but everyone said I wasn't smiling when I was dancing.
"I really want to do their snow song next because you get to play in the snow and that would be really fun."
Auditions to appear in the snow song will be coming up shortly.
Francesca has been to lots of auditions, so will know what to expect.
"I don't get disappointed when I don't get it," she said.
Francesca, who lives in Foss Avenue, has attended Stagecoach's performing arts school at Croydon High School, in Selsdon, for the last two years and has been taking part in workshops over the summer.
Francesca said: "I do it to make me a better actress.
"We do lessons and we have to dance. And we do freeze movements – we have to look like we're in a picture."
She is keeping her fingers crossed that her two television appearances are just the start of a glittering career, as her ambition is to become a professional actress when she's older.
