Rotary Keeps the Goodwill Rolling

Christmas is finally behind us and as

we move into the 2012 I am delighted to have this opportunity to let you how

well you supported us with this year's Christmas Collections. As ever we were

very well received by all our young chums who appeared extremely excited by

Santa's arrival. The staggering figure which you helped us to raise this year

was over £6,000. In these austere times we were delighted to meet such warmth

and financial support from everyone we met.  On behalf of all those who will benefit from

the funds – Thanks a Million.

Christmas Day saw us distributing

Christmas Parcels to those housebound and elderly folks, some of whom may not receive

other visitors throughout the festive period. What a great way for us to start

the Festive season. Rotarian Bernard and his grandson Ben lead the way on the day.

As we waived a fond farewell to Santa

and turned our attention to the new year. Our first event is in February when we

will once again celebrate the Chinese New Year with a rousing party at All

Saints Church in Sanderstead on Saturday 11th February. Food and

entertainment will as ever be provided and we look forward to a fun evening. If

We have

produce a calendar for 2012 featuring our events from last year and providing

dates for 2012, including some offers on tickets for the Chinese New Year, the

Quiz Night and many more. If you would like a calendar then again contact me

directly. We hope to raise some funds and so a donation for the calendar would

be great.
