SLH do the 1500 double
LOULOU Rowlands coasted to victory in the senior girls 1500 metres at the Surrey Schools Championships as South London Harriers completed a double win over the distance.
The U20 athlete (pictured) was emulated by club colleague Tom Holden (Wilson's) who triumphed in the U15 boys race, their achievements completing a fine day for Harriers over three and three-quarter laps.

Rowlands' winning time was 4 minutes 41.01 seconds, almost nine seconds adrift of her best but six clear of her nearest rival. SLH's Grace O'Leary was third in 4:48.93.
In the girls U15 race, Sophie Foreman took the silver medal after clocking 5:02.21 and in the U17 event, Helen Wilson also placed second with a personal best of 4:49.26.
Holden's winning mark was 4:27.40, less than two seconds outside his PB with club-mate Ben Foreman back in ninth place.
At the South of England AA U20/Senior Championships at Crystal Palace, SLH's Michael McManus was 11th in the senior 1,500m in 4:05.39.
Natalie Bartley was second in the women's 100m in 11.72 seconds with Shayone Simao coming fourth in 11.82. Simao won the 200m final in 24.42 while Jessica Case placed sixth in the 400m hurdles.
Tom Bullen was fifth in the U20 shot with a throw of 12.80m and eighth in the discus.
Frederica Foster ran 24.88 in her heat, then 24.97 to finish third in the final of the 200m and also qualified with 56.83 in her heat of the 400m but did not finish in the final.
