HOLLYWOOD hardman Jason Statham is in Croydon this weekend as scenes for his new movie Hummingbird are shot in Old Palace of John Whitgift School.
Film crews have cordoned off Old Palace Road for the gangland thriller directed by Oscar nominated Steven Knight, writer of Eastern Promises and Dirty Pretty Things.
Statham, star of 1998 cult Brit gangster movie Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, is on set while filming takes place on Saturday and Sunday.
Exclusive pictures taken by the Advertiser show him walking on set in Howley Road, chewing gum and talking on his mobile phone next to a black Jaguar car.

The historic Croydon girls' school has been a hive of activity this morning as huge lights are erected inside the main courtyard.
Residents living in Old Palace and in nearby Howley Road have been asked to move their cars for the weekend.
In Hummingbird, Statham plays an ex-special forces soldier who finds himself embroiled in London's criminal underworld.
The film was recently picked up by Lionsgate, with scenes having already been filmed in Soho.
