RESIDENTS in three Norbury roads are to be given another chance to say whether they want parking restrictions near their homes.

Phil Thomas, Croydon Council's cabinet member for highways and the environment, has announced that consultation with residents on extending the Norbury-controlled parking zone will take place in the autumn.

It will affect residents living in Upwood Road, Colebrook Road and Croindene Road, who told the council they did not want to be included in the original proposals to combat commuter parking in the area.

Norbury councillor Maggie Mansell, who has asked Councillor Thomas to commit to a new consultation, said: "What has happened since the restrictions were introduced in neighbouring roads is that these three have become blocked with people parking all day.

"This is making it difficult for residents to find a parking space."
