Secret Drinker - Reflex, Croydon
SD is one of a guilty few in Croydon who loves Reflex and is unashamed of it.
This 80s-themed bar (Retro Vibe, Retro Prices) may not be everyone's idea of a relaxing place to enjoy a drink, but it's somewhere SD has come to appreciate and even love over the years.

It was acceptable in the 80s: Reflex bar
Despite many a night out starting with the words "alright, but I'm not going to Reflex" this is invariably where SD will end up, glow in the dark drink in hand, staggering across the light up dancefloor.
And so on a recent night out in Croydon, SD yet again darkened the doors of Reflex.
Stepping through the doors is like stepping back in time to the 80s - early Madonna videos on the TV screens, bright shiny lights on the ceiling and floor and cut out pictures of the Hoff with his trademark 80s bouffant.
Drinks are remarkably cheap and although you're not exactly likely to find the poshest cocktail in town here, there is a large choice of drinks.
Always a fan of gin, this is where the glow in the dark drinks come in - although once inside Reflex SD also becomes rather partial to a shot or three of Corkys flavoured vodka.
The start of the Baywatch theme tune was SD's cue to make a Baywatch-style sprint for the dancefloor, shamelessly knocking bystanders out of the way.
A rather unsuccessful attempt at sitting on the (by now) sticky floor to take part in Oops Upside Your Head will be swiftly passed over, suffice to say it's not a good idea to lead the line if you don't know which way your arms should be waving.
SD spent a large proportion of time grouped around one of the poles cheering on brave and (by that point) seemingly acrobatic friends as they attempted to shin all the way up to the ceiling.
Final memories are of wearing a pink glittery Stetson while being chased by a friend wielding a blow up guitar (both available behind the bar).
Definitely not the first and probably not the last time SD decides to pay a visit to the 80s bar.
