SD has spent many a rather drunken evening in Tiger Tigers around the UK but mainly in Croydon.

As good a time as was had, SD really can't claim to remember that much about it and therefore decided as far as a pub review was concerned, a daytime trip to jog the memory may be best.

Luckily, Tiger Tiger is a venue for all seasons (or at least times of day), with the bar open from lunchtime, bar meals served through the day and a restaurant at the back, as well as the usual club.

As only the downstairs bar is open during the day, Tiger Tiger avoids the problem some bars have of being a little damp and smelly from the night before.

Many people come to Tiger Tiger on a lunchtime to enjoy their menu which starts from just £4 for food, with choices in price categories ranging up to £11.

Sharing platters also make for a social lunch or early evening snack.

But SD was there to assess the drinks situation and found an extremely well stocked bar with beers on tap, beers in bottles, posh ciders, a big selection of wines, cocktails from £5.10, every spirit you've heard of and some you haven't, and even champagne.

Unfortuantely SD's budget doesn't stretch to the champagne, but after a few drinks it may well do that.

Comfy booths and low lighting make this a relaxing bar during the day and a good atmosphere in the evening.

Upstairs at night SD has been known to take advantage of both the dance floors and occasional karaoke.

It may be a chain bar and not the most unique night out, but Tiger Tiger does a decent job of catering for most tastes at any time of the day or night.

Always a popular choice in Croydon with many themed nights through the week.
