The Brit School in Selhurst has opened a brand new building as it goes from strength to strength.
The huge new facility includes dance studios, music rooms, a technical theatre room and a fitness suite.
Principal Nick Williams told the Advertiser the building would benefit both students and the community.
He explained: "The new building was constructed so we could develop the curriculum and facilities for our students.
"We've now developed a second specialism in digital medial alongside our performing arts specialism.
"We do a lot of work in the community, with local groups and clubs, so it will benefit them too," he added.
The new building has also been soundproofed so the sound of youngsters rehearsing does not spill into the street.
He added: "Part of the problem with the main building is that sound penetration is a problem.
"The new facility will be able to reduce the sound coming out of the music department and won't be as intrusive on the neighbourhood.
Planning permission for the multi-million pound building was granted in November 2007.
Funding for the new build came from the Government and the school's sponsor, The Brit Trust.
Although the new building is already in use, it is set to be officially opened on October 14.
A book and DVD on the history of the school, which has nurtured stars such as Amy Winehouse, Leona Lewis and Katie Melua, is also set to be released next month.
