De Silva deal delight
KYLE De Silva has become the latest Crystal Palace player to pledge his future to the club after signing a new three year deal.
The 18-year-old has followed in the footsteps of Jonathan Williams and Stuart O'Keefe in signing a new long-term contract to stay with the Eagles, which will run until the summer of 2015.
And Palace's assistant manager, Lennie Lawrence, said that was just what the club wanted.
"You don't want young players out of contract," he said.

"This shows commitment from the club and the player and we are delighted to have come to an agreement with him."
De Silva, who made his Palace debut against Derby County in the FA Cup this season, went on to make seven appearances for the first team and the midfielder said he was delighted to sign a new deal.
De Silva, another product of the Crystal Palace academy, told the club's website: "This is the club I supported as a boy, so I was delighted to sign.
"I didn't really expect to make as many appearances as I did last season.
"To start against Southampton and Reading was good experience because they both got promoted.
"Now the aim is that first goal, trying to nail down a regular spot and [keep] working hard."
Lawrence added that he too felt that De Silva had a bright future with the club. He said: "He is a very promising player.
"He got his opportunity in the first team towards the end of the season and he acquitted himself well. He probably didn't expect to play the number of games that he did, so he is ahead of the game in that respect.
"But he has a great attitude, he is skilful and he has a great willingness to learn.
"We can now look forward to his development here at Crystal Palace." Lawrence added that De Silva would not be put under any pressure during his development, but admitted that he expects the youngster to be involved with the first-team squad again next season. He said: "We are just happy with his progression at the moment. We are not putting him under any pressure and I am sure he will play more next year."
De Silva's new contract will take effect from July 1.

“Lee. Only one question at a time please for the poor Lad, he will have a Brainstorm and that will upset our hero
.
I can see him going back to Brighton and sitting next to Seagull Bob.
That will upset Parish, having lost the money from Luis's Season Ticket.
To be fair to him, he must be preoccupied reading Simons Book.
Roll on the Down Graders. The stupid Advertiser allows you to Upgrade or Downgrade your own Input.
Which Pen Pusher came up with that one?
Peter Croydon, where the hell are you, you are missed or are you the secret Down Grader.”

“Luis Rambo_3,
you are not commenting on the Loss of Gardner to Sheffield Wednesday or Parish`s offer to ground share with a Rugby team, you have kept yourself `sneakily involved`, by giving everyone a sneaky double - rating, Luis, who have you roped into agree with you, who is the other person, that you have brainwashed, do they live in the Village, as well?
Luis, obviously you know your Hero, Simon Jordan, has a book out at the moment, he was talking about it on TalkSport, Luis, 1 think that puzzles me, regarding our ex Chairman/Owner, why does he keep telling us he lost £75m, because he sold his Mobile Phone Business in 2000, for £73m, he was only a 50% Partner in the Business, therefore he got £36.5m, if he lost £75m, where did the so called other £38.5m come from?
Luis, do you think your Pal, your Buddy & Hero, Jordan, lost £75m, or is Simon telling Fibs?”

“Impossible for him to have friends. HE must have signed up for more accounts on here.
No doubt we will see the same stupid comments filled with commas under another username soon.
Whats your new account's name Luis?”

“Gentlemen,
for those of us that work or the retired 1`s that have worked all their lives & now enjoy their retirement, this Site & Crystal Palace Football Club are not our lifes, we do not have to come on here Everyday, we do not have to come on here, constantly during the Day, because we have Lifes, unlike a Certain Idiot from Henfield Village, he thrives on Talking ********, he doesn`t know any better, this Site is Luis`s Life, Palace is his Life.
Luis, proves what a Sad Little Man he is, he is like a Spoilt Child, he can never get his own way on here, because he is a Fool, he lacks Intelligence, he gets put in his place with his daft comments, by People that know about Football, Luis, knows nothing about Football, SuttonJames, is correct, Luis is Gutless, he is a Coward, he cannot Think for Himself, he constantly waits for a Comment & then puts a - rating on the comment, i just cannot imagine Luis, having a Friend, so where is he getting the other minus rating from, Luis, are you `Courting`have you got a Female Friend, Luis, how long did it take you to Blow her up, Luis, whatever you do, don`t give her a love bite.”

“seagullbob
Now I feel even worse about our Luis. Is this right what you are saying that Luis is a lapsed Brighton fan or is this a Luis 'windup'
If what you are saying is true then I'm afraid that makes Luis a 'Turncoat', 'Traitor' and a Judas.
'Appalling'.
Surprise, Surprise.
Luis, before you downgrade this one, let's have a true response.”

“Luis Rambo_3,
i`ll except a - rating from you, but how can you keep coming on this site & give genuine fans a minus rating, if you obviously do not agree with their comment, but why don`t you tell them why you have given them a minus rating, why don`t you comment on, why Palace have just let one of their best defenders leave for Sheff Weds & why would your multimillionaire owners want to ground share with a rugby team?
I can understand your manager, freedman agreeing to ground share, because the football he likes to play, the ball is hardly ever on the ground.
Luis, all of us down on the south coast are so glad you followed mullery to charlton & then on to palace, because Luis, you are a idiot, a clueless muppet, you know absolutely nothing about football, you never have & never will.
A minus rating will be on it`s way to the south coast.”

Or one of his close friends has an account and just 'downgrades'.
Give reasons why you downgrade Luis and that is more acceptable to your credibility.”
