Sirius to show off his soaring vocals
A LREADY boasting a fanbase of loyal supporters, 20-year-old Sirius (formerly Stix) gets his chance to perform before an audience of hundreds when he appears at Purley Summer Festival on Sunday.
And this follows a two-night showing of his musical For King And Country, which is showing at Cafe Rayon Door, in Purley Way, as part of the festival.

The composer, singer, and songwriter from Shirley is no stranger to performing and last year his appearances included a 20-minute slot at the Croydon festival.
He has an impressive collection of his own songs and covers ready for Sunday, including Don't Stop Me Now, Busted and possibly The Man in the Mirror.
It is the writing and singing of his own work that fires up Sirius most of all.
The emotion in his voice, to those who've heard him, is unforgettable.
He explained: "When you write your own music there's an emotional connection and I hope the audience feels how more relevant that is.
He much admires Michael Jackson, who wrote and performed his own work.
"The power of that emotion always connects to an audience," Sirius added.
"I feel like saying something a bit more than singing someone else's work. "
And Sunday will see him wow the audience with his own ballads and more upbeat numbers.
The former Archbishop Tennison School pupil has been encouraged by his parents – his mother is a music teacher and he can't remember a time when he wasn't interested in music.
But he has also found time for drama. His musical, entitled For King And Country, was put on for three nights last August at the new Performing Arts Centre auditorium at Royal Russell School.
Dedicated to his craft, hard-working Sirius is determined to make a career in music.
And having edited For King And Country for the Rayon D'or performances, he is just putting the finishing touches to his new musical, The Myle High Club, a murder mystery set aboard an aircraft. This will be staged at Royal Russell School's auditorium on September 1, 2 and 3.
